[ The message concludes with a shower of heart-shaped confetti over his head before the cupid zips away, off on the rest of its errands. ]

Sir. Professor Van Hellsing?

This is Doctor Yumeno, from Skye Medical Centre.

Doctor John Seward has been assaulted, but he is alive, on his way to Emergency Care Unit, to be treated for shock and blood loss...from a puncture wound. A bite. He requested that I inform you, as an emergency contact.

I've...been told you are something of an expert in supernatural, Professor. This isn't the first incident- in fact between the three of us, we may be able to identify the individual. A...sanguinarian, a vampire.

[Unlike Yumeno's before him, Walter's voice has no semblance of calm. It is clipped, irate-- as though he were ready in that very instant to strike something down.]

Professor Van Helsing. Seward-- [He cuts himself off, amending.] Doctor Seward has been attacked. Where are you right now?

[She's ringing him, and will keep doing so until he picks up.]

Abraham, there's been an emergency at the Sanatorium. A massive break-out in the criminal cell block...Twelve patients are missing, while eight were returned to their cells. I'm afraid I've been called out to help.
